Chelsea appear to be maneuvering themselves back into the title picture after a fine run of form since losing the Club World Cup to Corinthians.
Everton away is one of the toughest fixtures around, though, and the Toffees have the added motivation of knowing that a victory would lift them above the Blues in the table.
If Chelsea harbour any hopes of a title challenge, victory here is necessary in order to ramp up the pressure on Manchester United and Manchester City. Four points behind the champions in second place and a further seven points behind United, the Blues cannot afford to lose any more ground.

David Moyes knows that if the Toffees are to push on and claim an unlikely top-four finish, games like this represent the perfect opportunity to galvanise the group and instill some belief in his players.
