Real Madrid confirm Jose Mourinho departure

Gyi0060532095

Real Madrid have just finished with a press conference, and they've confirmed their part in on of the worst kept secrets in the sport. Jose Mourinho will not be returning to coach Real Madrid next season, he'll instead be taking his managerial talents elsewhere.

The La Liga club did not announce where Mourinho will be next season, but that seems to be a foregone conclusion at this point. Mou wants Chelsea, Chelsea wants Mou, Mou needs a job, and Chelsea need a manager. The fit is obvious for both sides, and with Champions League football now secure, I doubt it will be very long before Chelsea confirm the return of the special one.

As far as I'm concerned, the sooner the managerial "hunt" is over, the better. It's been a real emotional rollercoaster ride this season, and bringing back one of the most popular managers in the history of the club shortly after extending the club's all-time leading scorer will bring some much needed calm for Chelsea fans worldwide. It will also lead to a heck of an exciting summer, as starting out with news like this would really be kicking things off on the right foot. Stay tuned...I'd expect Mou-mania to hit it's peak very soon.
