Frank Lampard Celebrates Chelsea Scoring Record with Unusual Gift from Adidas

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard was given an unusual celebration of his club-record goalscoring feat recently.

The England international scored twice in the 2-1 win at Aston Villa a week on Saturday to break Bobby Tambling's long-standing club record of 202 goals.

Tambling presented Lampard with a golden boot ahead of the final Premier League game of the season against Everton on Sunday in honour of his achievement.

Sportswear firm Adidas got together with Chelsea to commemorate Lampard's achievement by placing 203 balls in the position the midfielder scored every one of his goals for the Stamford Bridge club.

Each ball was marked with the name of the opposition against whom Lampard scored and the number of the goal in his career.

The 34-year-old speaks with BBC presenter Dan Walker in the video clip about his winning goal in the 2009 FA Cup final against Everton.

Lampard, who has signed a new one-year deal with Chelsea, also discusses his strike at Barcelona in the Champions League group stages in 2006.

The midfielder collected the ball almost on the by-line inside the area, turned and flicked the ball over Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdes into the far corner of the net.

The question remains whether Lampard actually aimed at goal, but the Chelsea legend insists during the video that he meant it "100 percent" despite admitting he had been "disappointed" with the way he had controlled the ball initially.
