Matchday 30: Southampton vs. Chelsea

And now back to your regularly scheduled Rafalution.

Ramires (thigh) and Gary Cahill (knee) missed Brazil and England's international games over our nice little break from domestic football with injury, which was more than fine from the Chelsea standpoint, but now they're getting into hey-I'd-rather-have-you-back now territory. Because they're not all the way fixed, according to our good friend Rafa Benitez:

Cahill is still working with the physios. Still we have a couple of days and we will see. [He and Ramires] could be involved [against Southampton], but it will be close.

Source: Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle.

We have Southampton away on Saturday followed up by the replay of our FA Cup quarterfinal battle against Manchester United on Monday, which means that if Cahill and Ramires are unavailable against the Saints we should probably be concerned about them missing the next game as well. It doesn't sound like things are that serious, but this is hardly a welcome development.

At least Juan Mata got a rest, right?
