Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez has revealed struggling strikers Fernando Torres and Demba Ba are undertaking extra training in a bid to rediscover their scoring form.

Torres and Ba have both struggled in front of goal this term, with the Spaniard in particular not managing a goal in the last three months while January arrival Ba has bagged just one in his last 10 matches.

It's worrying form for Chelsea as they head into the crucial part of the season, but interim manager Benitez has confirmed they are being made to stay late at training to find their scoring boots.

'The only thing you can do with them is keep practicing and then they will have the confidence to score the goals,' said Benitez.

'They are practicing, they are both working hard and doing extra work.

'They do specific work at the end of training; sometimes they will stay and work on movements and finishing.

'You can see how they train, how they practice, that they have the ability to finish.'

The duo need to start proving it soon, with Chelsea's match against Southampton on Saturday their first in an epic six-match run over just 16 days.

Benitez is expected to rotate his squad, with half an eye on Monday's FA Cup replay with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, but Ramires will not be available after being ruled out for two weeks.
