Rio Ferdinand Charged By FA Over Ashley Cole Tweet

Manchester United centre back Rio Ferdinand has been charged with wrong conduct by the FA following his today infamous public endorsement of the Twitter user's 'choc ice' comment towards Chelsea left back Ashley Cole inside the aftermath of the John Terry trial. Despite the defender's tries to backtrack, he today encounters what resemble several reasonably severe charges:

The FA has now charged Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand with wrong conduct about comments posted about Twitter.

The allegation is the fact that the player acted inside a method that was wrong and/or purchased the game into disrepute by generating comments that included a reference to cultural origin and/or color and/or race.

Ferdinand has till 4pm about 2 August 2012 to answer to the charge.

Cole's lawyers have mentioned which the (black) Chelsea player, that supported John Terry inside his trial over the alleged racial misuse of Anton Ferdinand, Rio's bother, has no interest inside choosing legal action, nevertheless which doesn't stop the FA from stepping inside here. Their research towards Terry's comments towards Anton Ferdinand remains continuous.
