Dundee and Tayside - Thu, 2 Feb, 2012

An independent Scotland would shun the euro and keep the pound in your pocket for at least a decade after separation. That was the pledge today from the finance secretary. But John Swinney's fiscal policy for a Scotland going it alone has been attacked by the Shadow Chancellor. Ed Balls says the SNP's plans are in chaos. In other news: A man who was jailed for a year after his Rottweilers savaged a young girl in Dundee is to appeal against his conviction; A member of Tayside Fire Board has hit back at criticism from a public spending watchdog over the retention of full-time crews at a Dundee fire station. In sport: Inverness captain Richie Foran's urged winger Johhny Hayes to follow his lead, by penning a new deal. Foran says Hayes should stay and continue his excellent progress under manager Terry Butcher. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.

He has recorded ten albums and appeared on twenty others, usually adding harmonica. In 2009 he scored the movie Good Boy. He has won best blues band in Tucson five times, best blues band in Arizona once and (with pianist Arthur Migliazza) best blues duo in Tucson once, representing Tucson in Memphis in the International Blues Challenge both times.
