The 19 year old Schalke midfielder is being linked with a move away from his Bundesliga side with the Veltins-Arena's general manager Horst Heldt admitting that there was tangible interest in the German international.

Back in January 2011 Draxler became the fourth youngest player to ever play in the Bundesliga and over the past two years has gone on to become one of the most highly rated talents in European football.

Despite being six months shy of his 20th birthday the box to box midfielder already has 90 top tier club appearances to his name as well as eight national team caps so one can see why Chelsea would be taking a keen interest in the youngster.

Roman Abramovich has been making great strides in building a side for the long term whilst seemingly being willing to see some of his old guard leave the club to make room.

Eden Hazard, Oscar, Marko Marin, Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses were signed last summer and Draxler may be a player the Blues are looking to play in the centre of the park and a move to join the Premier League side could tempt the rangy midfielder.

Draxler is contracted to Schalke until 2016 and as such could cost a hefty price to sign.

This source believes Man City, Arsenal, AC and Inter Milan are also interested in Draxler.
