Euro 2012 Quarterfinal No 3 - Spain v France - Lineups plus Game Thread

Photo

Spain Lineup (4-6-0): Iker Casillas; Jordi Alba, Sergio Ramos, Gerard Piqué, Alvaro Arbeloa; Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez; Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, David Silva

France Lineup: (5-4-1?): Hugo Lloris, Anthony Réveillère, Adil Rami, Laurent Koscielny, Gael Clichy, Mathieu Debuchy, Yann M'Vila, Yohan Cabaye, Florent Malouda, Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema

Chelsea interests: Obviously, Florent Malouda, plus Fernando Torres, could Vincente Del Bosque choose to bring him about, with Juan Mata accessible, however, unlikely to feature.

Spain plus France face off with a semifinal against Cristiano Ronaldo plus Portugal at stake. Spain are the epitome of contemporary sports, plus are, frankly, much better than France. They haven't been brilliant at Euro 2012, to the point, just really whipping a bad Ireland side inside the group stages. If France will cut off Spain's creation plus stay sturdy, they have a chance to win.

France aren't without their own issues, though. After the 2-0 Group D reduction to Sweden that saw them finish 2nd inside the group behind England, reports have recommended there has been fighting inside the French camp, synonymous to the fighting that eventually derailed their 2010 World Cup Finals campaign.

All in every, anticipate Spain to do their thing, except France could play effectively to expose Vincente del Bosque's deeply-stupid techniques. [Really, VdB is a fortunate clownhole.]

Side Bet: Will Spain's excessive circular passing really stop time?
