Chelsea's U21 team will be in action on Friday against the U21 side from Middlesbrough. Chelsea sit fourth in the table at the moment, while Boro are setting fifth.

The U21 team is set to kick off at 7 p.m. BST this evening from Brentford. That makes this a home game for the Chelsea U21 side, and they'll be facing the Middlesbrough U21's.

This will be the fifth U21 game of the season, with Chelsea collecting a win, two draws, and a loss in their first four fixtures of the campaign. That five point start to the season currently has Chelsea sitting fourth, level on points with third place Man City. Middlesbrough currently sit a point behind the blues in fifth. The full table can be found here.

The lineups for today's fixture have dropped, and they are as follows:

Chelsea lineup: Blackman, Kane (c), Davey, Ake, Deen-Conteh, Saville, Feruz, Clifford, Bamford, Boga, Baker

Chelsea subs: Pappoe, Killip, Musonda, Nditi, Loftus-Cheek

Boro lineup: Ripley, Bennett, Weldon, Dolan (c), Burgess, Oliver, Brobbel, Fowler, Wyke, Waters, Sirrell

Boro subs: Rivers, Montgomery, Kneeshaw, Edwards, Okosieme

As usual, Chelsea are fielding an extremely young side for this level of competition. It's nice to see Danny Pappoe starting today, as he's been bothered by injury for much of the last year and a half. The Musonda on the bench today is Lamisha, I know that can be a source of great confusion.

As always, have fun, no links to illegal streams. Let's go
