Tottenham's search for additional striking options will take Andre Villas-Boas back to Stamford Bridge as he looks to tempt Belgian international Romelu Lukaku into making the move from West to North London.

Villas-Boas has identified the teenage Blues striker as a summer transfer target and will look to lure the former Anderlecht man to White Hart Lane with the promise of regular first team football, which may not be on offer at Chelsea even after his successful season long loan spell at West Brom.

Lukaku has scored 13 goals for the Baggies this season and even though Chelsea have sold Daniel Sturridge and there are question marks over Fernando Torres's future at the club, it is believed that owner Roman Abramovich has his sights set on bringing in a 'Marquee' signing to help boost his attack, with the likes of Napoli's Edinson Cavani and Colombian Radamel Falcao being on his wish-list.

Andre Villas-Boas brought Lukaku to the Premier League, with the powerful forward joining Chelsea just weeks into the Portuguese manager's brief Chelsea reign.

Lukaku may be interested in a move to Tottenham, especially if Villas-Boas has Champions League football to offer the 19 year old forward.

An extra incentive could come in the presence of national team colleagues Moussa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen at Tottenham.

Andre Villas-Boas is said to be disappointed with the form shown by Emmanuel Adebayor, who has managed just two goals in 18 Premier League appearances thus far this season and is keen to bring in alternative options to spearhead his Tottenham attack.
