Former Chelsea transfer target Hulk has denied he is looking to quit Zenit St Petersburg for the Premier League in the summer, after reports last week suggested he had already grown disillusioned with life in Russia.

Hulk only moved to Zenit last summer but has reportedly struggled to settle at the club after sections of the side's fanbase voiced their anger at having signed black players.

Chelsea had been long-term admirers of the former Porto star – who is likely to feature at Stamford Bridge tonight as Brazil take on Russia in an international friendly – and were alerted to his potential availability last week, but the striker has since moved to dismiss speculation, insisting he is happy at his current club.

'I am satisfied with my career at Zenit,' he said. 'I’m giving my best to the shirt and I have no intention of leaving Russia.

'I have a long contract and what happened in the past is now gone.'

Even if the Brazilian were to be up for grabs again in the summer, a probable price-tag of around £45m may have put the Blues off a move, with the Chelsea hierarchy still believed to be keen on brining Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao to west London.
