Frank Lampard has revealed his next aim is to reach a century of England appearances after hitting the 200-goal milestone for Chelsea at the weekend.

The 34-year-old brought up his double ton against former club West Ham, putting the Blues on course for a 2-0 win.

Victory left Rafael Benitez's men third in the Premier League going into the international break, where Lampard and England face a World Cup qualifying double-header against San Marino and Montenegro this week.

The midfielder heads to Rimini knowing he is in sight of his next target of 100 international caps and said: 'It's [currently] 94 but six caps in international football is still a relatively long way [away]. So I'll take it cap by cap.

'I'm really enjoying the England thing. You really appreciate it as you get older every time you play.

'It's a very happy, comfortable squad with Roy Hodgson in charge.'

On the return to domestic action, Chelsea face six games in 16 days, a tough ask for a player in his mid-30s, but Lampard is now eyeing Bobby Tambling's mark of 202 goals for the club.

Given it could be his final season at Stamford Bridge, that determination is doubled.

'The record is certainly something I'm proud of because I didn't think I'd get anywhere near 200 when I signed,' added Lampard.

'If there was ever a man I'd love to catch or even be level with it's Bobby because he's a top man. He's always been very supportive of me.'
