Chelsea star Juan Mata has heaped the praise on Tottenham boss Andre-Villas Boas but insists he's happy to work with Rafa Benitez according to The International Business Times.

The Spanish midfielder was at Stamford Bridge during AVB's brief spell in charge of Chelsea.

Villas-Boas would go on to be shown the exit door but Mata had was effusive in his praise for the Portuguese boss.

Mata stated his belief that AVB is good enough to one day go on and manage at the highest level, believing him to be well suited to the job at Real Madrid.

AVB has excelled since leaving Chelsea, taking over from Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane last summer.

After a slow start, the club rose to the third in the table and looked certain for a Champions League qualification spot. A recent spell of bad form has seen Arsenal narrow the gap to just four points, with the Gunners able to make it just one point should they win their game in hand.

Mata insists he's happy to work with Rafa Benitez though enjoys the Spaniard's training methods.

Benitez looks certain to leave the club this summer after enduring a torrid relationship with the club's fans.
